Meet the Owners of Western Sizzlin Cleveland GA

Reg Gowan has spent his entire life in the restaurant business.  His father was in the catering/restaurant business and he worked his way through college with him.  Upon graduation, he took a job with Shoney’s as a Manger Trainee and at the end of a 14 year tenure, was Director of Operations overseeing 16 restaurants.  His next job was with Old Country Buffet where he was also promoted to Director of Operations.  Next Reg got involved with Western Sizzlin as a Field Consultant.

Julie also spent much of her life in the restaurant business, working operations with great companies such as Bennigan’s and Red Lobster.  Having a degree in Human Resources allowed her to spend 10 years as a recruiter for Chili’s Grill and Bar.

Their lovely daughter Madisen was born in 1997. She has grown up in the business. On weekends and over the summer you will most likely see her working in the Bakery area or greeting guests when they walk in the door

The Gowan’s have operated a steak and buffet restaurant in Toccoa, Georgia since 1992.  It was a rewarding and humbling experience for them. They are looking forward to serving the great folks in White County and the surrounding areas delicious food along with a side of Southern Hospitality!!
